What Causes Green Colored Vomitus And Stool?

should last less than 3 days
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The green is due to the presence of bile in both cases. Stool is normally brown because by the time the bile passes through the intestine, the bile has time to change from green to brown.
When stool is coming frequently as in diarrhea, the bile does not have the time to change.
It is possible that the symptoms are due to the vinegar. In most cases, last less than 3 days.
Treatment would involve the following: (1) holding off all solid food till there is a 4 hour window with no symptoms
When this time period occurs, then restart with very small amounts of dry food
eg toast, biscuits, plain rice
(2)fluids are very important. In addition to replacing what you are losing, if you can reduce the lactic acid that may build up with vomiting, it would cause the symptoms to decrease
Small amounts should be used initially, 1 tsp to 1 tbs every 5 mins for an hour, if this is tolerated , then the amount can be increased
If you use too much at a time, it would make you vomit.
Oral rehydration solutions or sport drinks should be used because these give back both fluids and electrolytes.
(3)probiotics- these have been shown to help shorten the course of diarrhea particularly.
Can be used on their own or in certain yogurts
(4)meds such pepto bismol or dramamine or lomotil may help
Dramamine would help with vomiting only and lomotil with diarrhea only
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
