What Causes Grey Circle In The Line Of Vision While Blinking?

default
Posted on Fri, 22 Jul 2016
Question: When I blink the left eye, I see a grey circle with black boarder. The circle disappears (dissolves) within one second or less. The circle appears to be about the size of a football, when blinking against a blank wall six feet away. I do not know how long I have been having this problem, but I have noticed it today.

Brief Answer:
Possible vitreous degeneration of eye

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concern.

I have worked through your query in detail.

As per your description, this football sized grey circle with black borders possibly represent vitreous degeneration.

At this point, it's pretty important to get a Fundoscopy examination done to assess the posterior structures of eye and to take further action.

Indirect ophthalmoscopy will yield great diagnostic results

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
