What Causes Growing Depression On Forehead Long After Injury?
Question: Hi,
A few years ago I fell and struck my forehead on the corner of an archway. Several months ago I noticed a small dent in my forehead where I had struck my head. The dent has since grown in length and depth. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Not to be concerned about.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Based on your query and image sent, my opinion is as follows:
1. The depression in forehead is not related to injury.
2. If there was any fracture or continuing damage, infection of the brain would have occurred by now.
3. It appears to be getting prominent due to age related reduction in subcutaneous fat. Skin is thinning out, and it is making the ridges in the front prominent.
4. Not to be worried. It is normal.
Hope it helps.
