What Causes Growing Lumps At Different Parts Of Body?
The swelling is likely to be lymph nodes
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms XXXXXXX
Going by description of presence of multiple lumps involving head and neck area , they are likely to be benign Lymph nodes. As your Physician has already examined them , there is no cause for concern.
Non specific enlargement of lymph node is quite commonly seen. Presence of seborrhoeic Dermatitis of scalp or chronic inflammation is the commonest cause for enlargement
I would suggest you the following
1. Apply Anti-dandruff shampoo for treatment of Dermatitis
2. 7 day course of antibiotics
If the swelling still persist, then get it reassessed from your Physician
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist .
Take Care

The lumps on the side of my head (behind my ear) feel like they're growing - there's pressure and I'm just starting to feel some aching in the inner front side of my ear, as well as something applying pressure to the back of my head (where the other bigger one is). Is this an infection that's likely to get worse quickly or can I wait a few days to see the Dr for the Rx? Also, I do have psoriasis from time to time so is that related? Would you have any recommendations how to deal with the psoriasis?
Many thanks!
XXXX
The lymph nodes will regress in size
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Dear Ms
I am happy to know that you are relaxed. The enlargement of lymph node could also be related to your Psoriasis especially so if its involving scalp.
Control of Psoriasis, anti-dandruff treatment and antibiotics will definitely cause reduction in size of nodes. Do not worry it will not spread to young kids. If the nodes grow in spite of following this advise then do see your Dr.
As my field of Speciality is Surgery, I would not be able to advise you regarding management of Psoriasis. You can ask expert opinion from our Dermatologist.
Wishing you and your family a very Happy New Year 2015.
Regards
Deepak
