Dear XXXXXX,

Greetings from health care magic!!! I am Dr Thakker and shall be answering your question.

I can understand your concerns about hair loss. I will try my best to answer your question.

You are on thyroid hormone supplementation for 1 and half years now. Your current TSH levels are normal. This means your supplementation dose is correct. Hypothyroidism can cause hair loss but not in your case because you are on correct dose of supplementation.

The following are possible causes of hair loss in your case.

Acute stress. This leads to Telogen effluvium. Once the stressful phase resolves the lost hair grows back.

Low protein diet.

Anemia.

Alopecia areata

Secondary alopecia

We need to do a local examination of the scalp area and the hair to reach a conclusive diagnosis along with a good history.

I would recommend you to take a supplement call Keraglow XXXXXXX and high protein diet in the mean time and get a blood haemoglobin level checked. You can consume 2 egg whites in a day to increase your protein intake.

I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to write back to me.

Yours sincerely,
Dr Thakker.

Thank you doctor, for your quick reply for my queries.

I can surely have no bald spots on the scalp, blood hemoglobin level is normal , also my protein level is normal....and no anemia of course..Yes I have little much stress..but I think This is not the only reason of this much hair falling.

I forget to tell you that my back side hair is very good and normal as I expected ,only my front hairs are falling...specially the two sides of front head
(above just the forehead) are decreasing day by day.

Also I am very fit and comfortable by nature since my childhood...I do exercise regularly...I just can't think this is suddenly happening..

So can you surely tell that this is not a thyroid problem?? and please give me some XXXXXXX regular food habits which can grow hair/ decrease hair fall??

Many many thank you in advance Doctor.I Appreciate your work.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXX,

What you have described in the reply is called frontal balding it is due to hormonal changes leading to increase in dihydrostesterone levels in your body. this is not related to thyroid disease.

I would advice you mintop for local application and a tablet called finasteride.

With regards to diet, I would advice you to take high protein diet. this can be in the form of eggs, fish, meat. If you are vegetarian you can take soyabean as a source of protein. I would recommend you to have 3 to 4 servings of fruit everyday as they are rich in multi vitamins.

I hope this helps you out. If you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to write back to me.

Yours sincerely,
Dr Thakker.
