Brief Answer: There can be a colon problem Detailed Answer: Hi. Considering the age of 65 and your symptoms I would like to ask a few questions: Do you have constipation? Any mucus in stool? Reflux- do you have a reflux problem? Nausea? If there are none, I would suggest to get a clinical examination done by a surgeon / gastro specialist to see if you have got a lump in abdomen, and other clinical findings. If needed a contrast enhanced CT scan of the abdomen is in order to rule out any lump which can give hardness and fullness of stomach. Colon problems are very silent, cause only fullness and hardness and other symptoms appear very late, so the haste. Therefore do not ignore to see your doctor. Regards
