Brief Answer:
What to do for boil on bottom.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I am sorry you are having this problem.

For the boil (or could it be a hemorrhoid if you were constipated and straining?) take sitz baths as often as you are able. In between sitz baths take a wash cloth, make it very warm with water (not so hot that it could burn your skin) and apply it to the abcess. When it cools off, reheat it with water.

I realize you have a very young baby so you may not be able to do this as often as you would like, but do it as frequently as possible.

It may take a few days for the boil to drain and resolve. But if it is getting worse or not improving, then you will need to go in to dr/clinic to have it incised and drained.

To clean after pooping, if you have a water squirt bottle from the hospital, you can use that.

About the constipation, my suggestions vary depending on the degree of constipation:
For mild post partum constipation, consider stewed prunes (cook prunes in some water) or prune juice. And lots of water. This is a safe way to manage constipation when nursing, if you are nursing.

For more severe constipation, you may want to take a laxative. Senna (Ex Lax, Fletcher's Castoria) are considered safe when nursing.

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if I can provide further information.

Brief Answer:
information

Detailed Answer:
It could be a hemorrhoid, which are not uncommon after giving birth, or a plugged perianal gland. And for either, sitz baths, hot compresses, would be advised. For hemorroids, there are other things that can be used such as steroid cream if there is pain/itching. But since you are nursing, sitz baths and hot compresses would be the safest things and possibly the most effective too.
