What Causes Head Rushes After Pregnancy?
Question: My daughter is two weeks post partum and having head rushes when she stands. She passed out this morning. Her OB appt is tomorrow morning. While in hospital, prior to emergency C-section, she had an epidural go high, losing her ability to breathe on her own. She had two blood patches for headaches before leaving hospital ... headaches finally abated three days after discharge. She has complained a few times over the last week about a pain in her chest/lung ... but thinks it's just associated with the labor. I'm heading there in a few to check on her and check her blood pressure.
Brief Answer:
Get hemoglobin checked
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I can understand your concerns.
Head rushes after pregnancy can have a lot of causes .
The most common is anemia due to blood loss.
It can be also due to low energy ,fatigue due to exhaustion.
Changes in blood pressure can be due to low hemoglobin level.
Please get her hemoglobin level checked
it doesn't seem to be due to anesthetic meds anymore
