Posted on Tue, 18 Aug 2015
Question: I sometimes get headrushes when I'm sitting or driving, even walking and just had a doozy at my desk. My blood pressure is usually around 117/76 but can vary down to 104/69 or as high as 159/80. I'm 54 and maybe 15 pound overweight and take metformin, paxil and kelnor and creator when I remember to take it.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Welcome to Health Care Magic, Thanks for writing to us,

I am Dr.Muhammad Ahmad, I have read your question, I understand your concern and will try to help you in the best possible way.

You symptoms can be due to lack of sleep , tired body or mind, or low blood sugar , It does not seem to be a matter of blood pressure drop because that usually happens when a person stands while sitting or lying ...

You drugs also can not be held culprit for the above told symptoms none of them usually cause it.

I would hereby suggest you to do a few simple things which will help me determine what can be the problem. I would mention some points here for which i will need your answers.

1) Are you taking any other meds?
2) Any issues of blood sugar getting low in the past?
3) Please measure you BP while lying down then stand up and take BP after 1-2 minutes of standing and tell me its reading.
4) How frequently does this happen and when did it start to happen?
5) Do you sleep well at night?
6) any mental or physical stress lately?

I will look forward for your input.

Regards,
