Hello,
Thank you for using Healthcaremagic to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
The cortisone shot does not give headache. I think they are not related.
Please can you give more information about the type of your headache so I can evaluate you and give advises.
- How can you describe it?
- Where is it localized?
- Does it radiate?
- From 0-10 how strong is it?
- Does advil make it better? What else makes it better or worse?
- Has it been continuous during these days? How has your sleep been? Did it stop you from sleeping?
Looking forward to your follow up question.
Regards,
Dr. Papaqako

Brief Answer:
Seems like temporal artheritis headache. Go to the ER to be seen by Dr.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for the follow up question.
What you are describing doesn't seem like a typical tensive type headache. Most probably it needs to be seen by a local physician who can examine you.
I say that because it seems like a temporal artheritis headache, and if that is the case, you will need to take steroids and also if left untreated it may impair your vision permanently. So my advise is that if your headache continues, go to the ER and explain them the symptoms like you did with me in your follow up question.
Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you have other questions.

Dr. Papaqako
