What Causes Headache And Ear Pain Along With Urethral Pain?

Question: Hello,
I'm worried about contacting herpes. I have been experiencing pain in my urethra, increased frequency, painful urination, one small sore on my outer labia, headaches, earaches, sore and inflamed throat, irritated and painful eyes. My symptoms have been occurring on and off for the last three months. I have been tested for other stds with a negative result. The clinic has refused to test for herpes because the sores do not look like a typical sore. I know herpes varies greatly between different individuals. Is there any thing else that could explain all of these symptoms as they always occur at the same time. I suspected a uti, and took a series of antibiotics that did not help.
Thanks,
Brittany

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to be herpes
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on Healthcaremagic.
I have gone carefully through your query. The description does not fit that of herpes. Since the doctor did not feel it required to test for herpes, I assume that the lesions did not look like herpetic lesions. There is a characteristic look and so I would not bother about individual variations. You could be suffering from a simple fungal infection. I would insist you to apply Candid (clotrimazole) powder topically and to keep the area clean and dry.
I would insist you not to self medicate after inferring things. It would be a good idea to to get your urine tested for routine microscopy and culture. Drink plenty of water.
Regards

I have been tested for a year infection with a negative result. Is there any other possibilities of all of my symptoms?
Brief Answer:
No other options need to be considered
Detailed Answer:
Are you talking about urine test or test for herpes? In any case since they are negative you need not worry. Drink plenty of water and things should be fine.

my urine test came back negative. But my headache, sore throat, ear aches, irritated eyes and lungs, as well as my uti symptoms won't subside. I don't know what can cause all of these symptoms.
Brief Answer:
Could be due to sinusitis.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back.
Your problems could be due to sinusitis which could involve an allergic component as well. You should get it confirmed by an ENT doctor. Sinusitis is an infection of sinuses, the air pockets contained in our skull. It is most often caused due to viral although occasionally there is a superadded bacterial infection present. Antibiotics or any other medicines cannot reach the sinuses properly and sinuses have a poor blood supply. Antibiotics may relieve the superadded bacterial infections, but the unresolved underlying infection may flare up subsequently. Taking steam inhalation can provide relief as it helps in opening up the openings of the sinuses that have been blocked by thickened mucus. Water in form of vapour will reach deep inside and will help in dilute the thickened mucus.
Take rest and plenty of fluids to drink. You may take naproxen 500 mg tablet when required, in case you have pain.
Feel free to write back.

I am concerned with the lesion in the photo that I have circled. Could this be the reason for my sore throat? What could it be caused from?
Brief Answer:
Possibly not a cause for concern but would be advisable to get it evaluated
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. I have checked the image. The circled spot needs to be cross checked by an ENT doctor although I doubt if it is anything serious. I would therefore insist you to get it evaluated.
