There is now swelling under the right ear... alot of sweating been taking alergy medication along with aleve
Brief Answer:
Which anti-allergy drug he is taking?
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on HealthcareMagic.
I can understand your concern.
By your history and description, the possibility of an acute allergic reaction is more.
I want to know which anti-allergy drug he is taking so that I can guide if this is appropriate or not.
Please also let me know if he is having breathing difficulty or choking sensation in the throat.
If these symptoms are present then he needs injectable steroid and injectable antihistamine (Avil) because these symptoms suggest a severe form of allergy.
I will be happy to help you further. Wishing your son a good health.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
The nasal spray will not help him.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow-up question,
I can understand your concern.
Nasal spray won't help him as he is not having nasal symptoms like sneezing, nasal blockage, Itching in nose etc.
So better not to give nasal spray.
Antihistamine (levocetirizine or fexofenadine) and anti-allergic (montelukast) combination is easily available in the market and should be started in his case.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further.
