![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I fell and hit my head on the concrete Saturday, both my eyes are black and blue. The swelling has gone down, but the headaches remain and the back of neck feels stiff. I did not go see a doctor and I am wondering how long the headaches stiff neck will last.
Brief Answer:
Head CT needs to be done.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for the query.
Headache and neck stiffness can be the symptoms of some bleeding inside the skull. Black eyes are caused by bleeding from small vessels in the skin. Such view is usually seen in case of nose fractures or other face bones fractures. And it also indicates that the injury was pretty strong.
That is why I suggest you to do not leave it as it is. Please visit your doctor and have head CT done so you will be sure no brain injuries are present.
Otherwise headaches can get worse.
Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
