Question: When I wake during the night to go to the bathroom inside my head it seems to be hot but I do not have fever. I do not have headaches, I take 10 mg crestor, 40 mg Viibryd and sometime I will take a couple of aspirins if I over work myself.

Brief Answer:
Sounds like hot flashes.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome,

The hot feeling in your head sounds like hot flashes. This could be a remnant of menopause, but it also could be from one of your medications. In particular, the Viibryd can do this, although it is a very infrequent side effect. There are some reports of women getting hot flashes with Crestor too, although I think this is less likely.

If the hot feeling doesn't bother you much, you don't need to make any changes. But if it is a significant problem and interferes with sleep, then you might want to talk with your doctor - particularly about the Viibryd.

One note of caution: If you are having night sweats or you start to record night fevers (taking your temperature with a thermometer), this is a concerning problem and you would definitely need to see your doctor for an evaluation.

I hope this information sheds some light on your problem.
