Brief Answer:
BP needs to be controlled.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your mother's symptoms.

First of all, her BP needs to be controlled.

If her BP is normal, and she still has headache, we need to exclude migraine and brain ischemia (lack of blood flow to brain).

We can start her on SIBELIUM (flunarizine) at bed time. If she has migraine, she would get better.

In addition, we can give her etoricoxib for headache relief.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,

Brief Answer:
We need to control her BP.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

She should be started on telmisartan tablets to control her blood pressure.

If she was my patient, I would start a dose of 40 mg once daily after breakfast.

I hope it helps.

Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
