What Causes Headache, Nausea And Vomiting After Lexapro Withdrawal?

I stopped lexapro a month ago had an irregular period on may 12 that was light with blood clots which is unusual for me
My symptoms are
Feeling fush
Headaches
Nausea and vomiting
Light headed and dizzy spells
Tender stomach
Hemorrhoids for the first time in my life at age of 23
Exhausted and fatigue
Moody snap at people and cry easily. Also in good mood sometimes
Snacking all day because I can't eat a normal meal get full too quickly and then sick if I eat too much
Irregular period as I said earlier
Breasts sort of tender but not that bad
Anyways all this has been going on two weeks now and I took a home pregnancy test today that was negative but could be too early...
More likely due to anxiety and depression
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
I appreciate your efforts for medical consultation in so much distress.
Important aspects of your query are:
• 23 year old female
• History of Lexapro use till 1 month back.
At present you are having multiple symptoms involving different parts of the body. But your current problem not appear due to medication withdrawal (last 1-2 week only) or pregnancy (your last MC 16 days back).
Lexapro is used for anxiety and depression. Recurrence of anxiety and depression after stopping lexapro explain many of your symptoms. Periods can become irregular in stress. It is better to meet physician again to start lexapro for treatment.
Same time there is need to rule out hormonal imbalance (thyroid, estrogen, prolactin and progesterone) in your case which can cause tender breast, irregular period and exacerbation of depression in your case.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow ups.
Wish you good health.
Regards,

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
Thanks for follow up.
No doctor will prescribe lexapro without any reason like in your case. I can understand your concern related to medicines, as you already not able to follow your current physician advice, and stopped medicines.
Patient has right to decide about treatment but medical science is not so easy to understand by non medical person. Physicians can only advice what is best for patient. Sometime it is better to follow advice to prevent suffering.
If you do not want drug treatment you can opt for cognitive behavior therapy.
Wish you good health.
Regards
