What Causes Headache On Stopping Testosterone?

Question: I had to stop testosterone quickly because I lost my prescription...6 mg patch per day. Could a sudden drop of hormone in 6 days cause a headache?

Brief Answer: May not. Detailed Answer: Hi, Good day. It is not clear what was the indication for starting Testosterone and what was your basal level of testosterone before beginning the treatment. You may not develop headache on stopping Testosterone, but may feel tired with low libido and erectile dysfunction etc if you continue with out Testosterone patches for few more days. Regards Binu

i was very low at 130 with pituitary tumor(small} and recently had improved level to 500 with 6mg patch per day. I read recently that low T may be affiliated with Migraine??

Brief Answer: There is some association with Migraine Detailed Answer: Hi, Thank you for writing again. Yes, there are evidence that Migraine might get worse when there is low testosterone. Again, Migraine is a particular type of vascular headache and not every one gets it. Stopping the patch for just 6 days may not have a great impact. Regards Binu
