What Causes Headache With Migraine-like Symptoms, Nausea, Lower Abdominal Pain On The Right Side, And Hot And Cold Flashes?
Headaches may be secondary to another process.
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Although you could certainly be suffering from a PRIMARY type of severe headache with migrainous symptoms.
If you were my patient, I might suggest (after getting the relevant history) that you undergo some screening labs looking at liver enzymes and some other parameters to make sure you were not suffering from a GI process that could be the cause of the headache.
Also, flank pain can often be traced to a kidney process such as infection so a urinalysis would be very helpful to rule out infection, kidney stone, or something else.
Flank pain can also be as a result of a pulmonary infection and so again, based upon your symptoms, evolution and history as well as examination I might get a set of chest X-rays and make sure you didn't have a pleuritic or pneumonic process.
I'm not as worried about a diverticular process though that cannot be ruled out based on your very lean set of symptoms.
One other thing I might look at from an organic point of view would be the possibility of an ovarian cyst or other pelvic process and/so if indicated a pelvic ultrasound might be worth getting.
Hope I have answered your query.
