Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic,
I have gone through your husbands history and the treatment your doctor has prescribed.
For your symptoms these medicines will helps to control the symptoms and improve your husbands condition.
If the symptoms are not improving even after 5 days of treatment, I would suggest him to undergo investigation like blood culture and CT Scan to find out other conditions whch is leading these symptoms.
Based on the lab report we can plan for further treatment.
I hope your husband condition will improve in another one or two days with this treatment. If you have any further query feel free to post them.
Thank you.

Should he be taking advil for the pain that the cough produces in his head? Could it also be linked to sinus pressure? Again, the sharp pain is only when he coughs, strains or gets up from sitting quickly. I see their are two types of coughers headaches, if its the bad type then, is that what the ct scan will determine? Ifs its just the primary coughers headache is there any thing he can take to get rid of it? He is on his second day of antibiotics for his ear infection. Would u say if the cough headache has not gone away in a few days, he should get the scan? Should he take lortadine just incase it is just allergy pressure or can it possibly be linked to his ear infection. He of course is thinking the worst like brain bleed...please advise. Again, he has had the ear infection for four days now, this headache pain is new...
Brief Answer:
Lortadine can be taken
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It is my pleasure to answer your query,
Tab Advil is an NSAIDs which will relieve the pain associated with his symptoms. Tab Sudafed will reduce the sinus pressure associated with the ear pain.
If you have any allergic manifestation you can take the Tab Loratadine, which will reduce the symptoms and improve his condition of headache during coughing.
With the history of headache during coughing and ear infection suggest that his symptom is mainly due to the infection.
So I would suggest that the headache will come down once the infection comes down with the antibiotic prescribed by your doctor.
The symptoms will come down in another 2 to 3 days. Nothing to worry.
Thank you
