What Causes Headaches And Lightheadedness?
Seems not to be due to neurological cause
Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible.
First of all, based on the history you have shared, it doesn't look to be that pathological, or due to neurological issues as brain stem is involved in sneeze reflex and for that pathology many other pathways are also impaired and isolated loss of sneeze reflex is less likely. And that can be due to loss of motor response to the muscles responsible which is less likely to menifests itself without any other symptoms and with normal swallowing and coughing reflex.
Another possibility of persistant local irritation can be one of the cause of such symptoms where continous irritation may not be enough to lead to powerful sneeze but slight feeling of discomfort may remain. Get a local ENT or otolaryngologist examination for further reassurance.
Using nasal decongestants and anti histamines like cetrizine may be of help in such cases. Wishing you a stable and healthy life ahead.
Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
ENT specialist review will be sufficient
Detailed Answer:
Hi! Thanks for the feedback.
Yes as of now, only ENT or otolaryngologist review would be sufficient and no immediate need of neurological examination as we have already discussed in details.
