Question: Hello, for the last two days my husband has experienced brief headaches after a sudden movement of his head. Tylenol doesn't help and he feels otherwise normal. We are panicking and trying to get an appointment for him ASAP but in the meantime do you ave any idea what it might be and how urgent?

Brief Answer:
Reassurance , Don't panic

Detailed Answer:
HI

Greeting from Dr. Divakara.P
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcare Magic.

I can understand your concern but I assure there seems to be no major problem with your husband .

You mentioned about sudden movement of head . Can you please elaborate on that . I need to know what exactly happened .

Also tell me what part of his head is aching ? Any visual problems ? Any ringing sound in ears ? Any vomiting sensation ?

If I was your doctor and if your physical examination turns out to be normal I would advise a simple pain killer for 3-4 days and in case of no relief advise for a Brain CT Scan .

You can ask for Aceclofenac with Paracetamol combination prescription from your doctor . USe it for 2-3 days and most likely he will feel better . But any how do consult doctor as it requires personal examination .

Any doubts or clarification feel free to ask , Happy to answer .

Regards .

Thank you Dr. Divakara,

No vomiting, dizziness, visual problems, etc. Pain occurs when he tilts his head down or to the side, changes the position/elevation of his head. Pain is near the top of his head and lasts a few minutes. No pain while exercising or doing other activity.

Brief Answer:
Seems like Sinusitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the follow up .

As per your description I feel your husband is having a condition called Sinusitis. It is a condition where there is congestion in the sinuses. It is very simple condition.
I advise you him steam inhalation 2-3 times a day. Also ask your doctor for a prescription of Xylometazoline nasal drops . This will give him better relief.

Hope i have answered your query.
Any clarification feel free to ask . If no clarification kindly close the discussion and please rate my answer.
