What Causes Headaches, stiff Neck And Tingling In Arms?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: I had a spinal fusion from C1 toT6 on 4/30/14. I have XXXXXXX doing really well. But today I have a horrible pressure headache. My neck is stiffer than usually feeling like a rock. My right arm feels weird - tingling. The headache is making it impossible to get to sleep. I tried taking Excedrin migrane but couldn't keep it down. Could it be a bad case of a flu?
Brief Answer:
Stiff neck is common in tension /migraine
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Stiff neck is common in both tension or migraine type headache. The flu would be worse with other parts of body pain and tiredness as well.
I suggest you to take regular Motrin / Advil and rest for couple of hours. There is nothing serious symptom that I could gather. A light neck massage will help to relieve the stiffness and pressure.
If the pain increases or accompanies with nausea/vomiting that may be a time to head to ER.
