What Causes Heart Palpitations?

Question: Ok so I have been experiencing heart palpitations. I have seen my doctor as well as going to the ER. I've had two EKGs that were normal blood work normal X-ray normal and a CT scan of my chest that was normal. They said it was probably just stress or caffeine. I don't believe that's it at all. Yesterday I experienced palpitations all day long and they are still going on today. What could this be? Do I need to go see a cardiologist?
Brief Answer:
Yes,schedule appointment with cardiologist...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
From what you are reporting, I'd advise to :
- consult further with cardiologist
- run Echocardiogram, holter monitoring, stress test
for further evaluations before running final conclusions.
You can send a copy of the ECG you did so I can analyze myself!

I don't have a copy unfortunately. I'm a flight attendant and I'm flying on trip. I'm going to try to get in with a cardiologist when I get home on Monday. I had some crazy flutters last night with a rapid heart beat. It kept me up for awhile but finally fell asleep and I woke up fine. I don't smoke, I drink occasionally, and usually exercise so what could be causing this? I've stopped drinking caffeine and I haven't worked out in a month because I'm scared. I'm scared of flying right now but I have to work! I need to see a cardiologista fast and or get off my trip
Brief Answer:
Avoid caffeine/alcohol;should continue exercise...
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Yes, I highly recommend to avoid caffeine, chocolate, alcohol.
You should not stop exercising, I do not see any reason for you to stop exercising.
Once you have appointment with cardiologist, can come back to me anytime.
All the best!
