What Causes Heartburn While On Ibandronate Sodium?

Question: I am taking 150mg Ibandronate Sodium. 1st dose was Thursday Apr 27th. did exactly as instructed. I have COPD,Ischemic Heart disease and on maintenance meds for both. I started feeling a little achy late Friday the 27th but nothing too bad. I also started getting heartburn which I normally do not have, but chalked that up too eating spicy food.Saturday was a little worse ache and pain wise,as well as the heartburn kept coming back, but I did NOT take anything for it; I also started coughing more than normal, but thought it my be too a high pollen count. Today,Sunday,Apr. 30, I have felt horrible. Ache all over, every joint hurts, back hurts, doughing worse and now I am running a slight temp. 99.4 I run a little sub-normal around 97.? I had a bone density about 2014 and it showed osteogenesis. I re-did test on Apr 17 2017 and was told I now have osteoporosis; all quadrants were below normal numbers, in particular, my left hip. I have NOT taken any of my maintenance meds since taking the Ibandronate Sodium, 1st I was afraid that the combination of meds could cause heartburn, and now I am afraid too take them for fear of worsening heart burn. I do not have too take this again till the 27th of May, so should I just hold off on talking with my PCM or call Monday morning and discuss this with him. I did not read all the contradictions on the med,due too you can sometime make yourself think you have the same symptoms; I only red them about 30 minutes ago, and it is somewhat concerning. Thank you in advance with a suggestion. SPM
