default
Posted on Thu, 2 Apr 2015
Question: My name is XXXXXXX and I am 46 years old. I have been on the pill every since I was 20 and just decided to stop. I am not sexually active and I feel real bloated and tired all the time. My periods only last two to three days and are heavy and thick. I have been walking and trying to get back in shape but feel tired all the time. I also since I have stopped taking them have tender nipples and lower pain in my left side. I have in the past been told I am going through peri-menopause...one thing for sure I know I am not pregnant...I wish I cold start and regain my energy back. I haven't taken the pill in almost three months.

Brief Answer:
Symptoms are suggestive of perimenopausal status

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
You are likely to be perimenopausal and the symptoms are related to the same.
Reduce food intake by 20 %, eat wholesome healthy food, exercise at least 30 minutes a day, practice stress relief like yoga, meditation or relaxation techniques.
These measures would help you lose weight and also relieve your symptoms .
