What Causes Heavy Mucus,difficulty Breathing And Irregular Breathing?
Question: Our One year old granddaughter has Extremely heavy mucus, difficulty breathing since birth, and irregular breathing while awake. She has been diagnosed with bronchiolitis and has had an upper respiratory infection for months.
She is now sleeping and struggling for breath
We have been using a saline rinse with suctioning which sometimes helps but hasn't helped tonight

It takes atleast a week sometimes even 2 weeks till the body recovers.
You can try saline nebulisation every 3 hours with home nebulizer which will drift help in bringing out the secretions.
Continue saline rinse and suctioninng.
If still persistent, consult nearby physician to rule out asssociated pneumonia.
