What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding, Bone Pain And Stabbing Sensation Around Navel?
endometrial biopsy advised
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.Heavy vaginal bleeding at your age can be due to hormonal disturbances leading to dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which is common in perimenopausal age group. However, other causes like cervical and uterine carcinoma should also be ruled out.
Moreover, bone pain and stabbing sensation around navel could be related or unrelated to the heavy bleeding.
Though hypothyroidism generally leads to irregular menstrual cycle and decreased flow during menstruation, I would suggest you to get a uterine( endometrial) biopsy and pap smear. I will be able to rule out any carcinoma through the biopsy / pap smear results. Let me know if the tests are already done. Further ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis should be done.
Your gynecologist will know about these tests.

please mention fibroid size
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX, thanks for responding. Please do mention the size of the fibroids in the uterus and any other significant finding in ultrasound.
Cervical and uterine carcinoma cannot be ruled out by any blood tests. Biopsy and histopathological examination needs to be done to confirm the diagnosis.
Perhaps your doctor was referring to other blood related cancers. However my concern is about the heavy bleeding.
