Question: I don't have the numbers, but my son's hemoglobin is high, blood pressure high, and platelets are low. What could be the cause(s)?He was also diagnosed with Central Sleep Apnea the beginning of January.

This seems like a case of secondary polycythemia. This can because by sleep apnea. If the sleep apnea is corrected it may slowly improving hemoglobin. Regarding her blood pressure this might also be related to the elevated hemoglobin.
It would be helpful if you can share a copy of most recent laboratory studies. We could take a look at those and see if there is anything else that is significant. If the platelet count remains low a bone marrow biopsy may be suggested. This might help your doctors determine some of the reasons which could be leading to the abnormal blood count.
