What Causes High BP And Severe Headache Post Intake Of Herbo Care Products?
Question: My mother is 40 yrs n she has bp of 152/100 n severe head ache im worried could it be due to the herbal medicines she took??she took herbo care products

1. Is she a known hypertensive or did the high blood pressure and symptoms occurred after taking the product?
2. Was it a specific product or one taken for improving general health? ( please mention the name of product )
3. Any associated risk factor like family history of blood pressure, thyroid problem or blood sugar/lipid problem?
4. Any blurring of vision, nausea, vomiting, weakness in limbs/face?
5. Any opinion of general practitioner or medicines tried to reduce blood pressure?

She is not a known hypertensive sir...family history of hypertension present
No blurring of vision or nausea sir..jst plain but very very severe head ache..bp has gone down now sir but head ache present n its still very severe

1. Since there is a positive family history of hypertension and blood pressure was high which is now controlled thus:
. If Headache is severe & progressive, go for C.T. Scan & Neurologist Opinion.
PS. although there is no blurring of vision and nausea still go for the investigation.
. Check Tenderness on nape of neck or pain on neck movements. (If associated fever check for neck stifness).
. Check sinus tenderness over maxillary & frontal sinuses and look for any focus of infection in tonsils,teeth, & ears.
PS. As it is written in every Note of Herbocare: All products are guaranteed not to cause any side effects (and can be tested in laboratories) thus
. It may be that the body might not have adapted to the ingredients of the product. (Each person has different body constitution [PRAKRITI])
. Ginseng,ephedra,ginger,licorice are known to increase blood pressure, thus if they are present as ingredient in any of the product it could be the reason.
2. Do let me know if it there was something worry to about or it was just an ordinary tension headache for further line of management.
