
What Causes High BP, Difficulty Breathing And Slight Stuffy Nose?

Question: My husband is 77, 6'5"' 200+ lbs. had annual checkup 2 days ago. Fine but had unexpected150 blood pressure. 102.5 degree temp. A little difficulty breathing , slight stuffy nose, pain under right lower rib cage which is better now

Elevation of blood pressure just once couldn't be concluded that he is hypertensive. According to the hypertensive guidelines minimum of three readings reqiired apart of 30 mins gap . I suggest you to take the reading atleast two or three times after comforting and relaxing him for another half an hour .
some times stress, anxiety & fear also shows elevated B.P
Coming to sudden onset of fever and stuffy nose that indicates possibility of viral illness. So please consult your family physician and re-check blood pressure.
