Brief Answer:
Its Morning Hypertension

Detailed Answer:
Hello

After going through the details provided by you i would like to tell you that this condition is known as Morning Hypertension. As most of the cardiac events like MI or stroke occurs mostly during early morning, So control of morning blood pressure becomes even more important.

As you are taking LABETALOL twice daily so its advisable in your case to start a CALCIUM CHANNEL BLOCKER along like AMLODIPINE 2.5 mg in evening and keep monitoring your early morning bp everyday in morning after waking up for 7 days. If it stays beyond 150/90 mmhg then increase the dose of Amlodipine to 5 mg.

Along with that you need to adopt lifestyle modifications like daily morning walks, Yoga, Low Salt Diet, No Smoking if you do.

Its advisable that you should also personally consult a cardiologist for proper evaluation and treatment plan.

I hope this information will guide you in right direction.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
