Question: My FSH level has been for more than a year 14.2 and it is not going down.. Therefore my period cycle became shorter instead of 28 days it became 23 or 24 days which can be annoying sometimes because it feel like every two weeks im getting my period again.. This happened after a cyst removal surgery and an 8 month course of birth control pills.. How can i make it go back to 28 days and lower my FSH level

Brief Answer:
AMH levels advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I would like to know if you are trying for pregnancy and thus getting tests done for infertility?
This high FSH level at this age is not a good sign.
I would recommend you to get your AMH Levels done.
AMH will tell you the ovarian reserve and thus we can plan the further management accordingly.
Waiting for your response.

No there is still no plans for pregnancy.. The surgery and birth control pills were almost 2 yeara ago but yet my period did not get better.. It started out with 21 days leading up to 24 days.. There were two months that my boyfriends was out of town my cycle became 26 days because of no intercourse but once that started again it went back to 24 days.. I just started my period today and will do my tests again tomorrow.. What are the recommended tests that i should do ?

Brief Answer:
tests advised

Detailed Answer:
See the fact is if your cycles are coming after every 24 days every month then its alright if the flow is normal.
But if you feel bothered then it is good to get the following investigations -
- TSH
- AMH
- Prolactin
- pelvic ultrasound.
Get these tests and then we can discuss the reports.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
see detailed description

Detailed Answer:
Your TSH is normal and FSH and LH are raised.
So as far as interval between periods are concerned there is nothing to worry and all you should do now is take oral pills to regulate your cycle.
But get AMH levels done whenever possible in case you plan for pregnancy.
All the best.
