What Causes High Fever With Cold?
Question: My son is having high fever (103; cold and blowing nose) since morning and as we have shifted very recently to XXXXXXX and all the doctors near by are not available. Request you to please help urgently.

The cause for fever is likely to be respiratory infection. Majority of respiratory infection are viral and self limiting.
1. Syrup Meftal P Suspension 5 ml thrice ( I assume the age you mentioned is 4.5 years)
. It will help reduce the fever more effectively.
2. Syrup Ascoril D 3 ml three times a day for 3 days. It is anti tussive and nasal decongestant.
3. Decoction : To a cup of milk + 20 Tulsi leaves + 1 spoon of turmeric + 2 black pepper + 2 gm fresh ginger + 2 spoon of sugar. Bring the mixture to boil. Filter it and feed baby warm thrice a day.
4. Steam inhalation: 15 minutes each session thrice a day
5. Warm Saline gargling: To a glasss of lukewarm water add 2 spoon of common table salt. Make him gargel the throat thrice a day
6. One spoon of honey + 2 drops of fresh lemon juice. make him sip it thrice a day
