What Causes Hip Pain While Walking?

Osteoarthritis of the hip
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Since when are you having hip pain?
Any pain on squatting or cross leg sitting?
Any crepitus or cracking sound from the hip?
It is possible you have Osteoarthritis of the hip. It is common in this age.
Avoid sitting on the floor, squatting, stair climbing, kneeling. Apply hot packs to the painful regions. Keep the limb elevated. You can take a walker to walk if your pain is much to bear.
It is advisable to get an Xray of the hip and pelvis to look for signs of arthritis. If the stage of arthritis is severe, you may need a hip replacement. If less severe, an arthroscopic debridement, medication and physiotherapy may be needed.
