What Causes Horrible Gum Pain That Travels To Different Parts Of Mouth?
gum infection, teeth infection, neuralgia
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the pain in the gums is concerned, it can be because of the gum infection or the tooth infection which has spread to involve the surrounding bone. Nothing to be panic, consult a good oral physician and get it evaluated.
If it is a gum infection, you need to get a scaling and root planing done. If it is a tooth infection, the teeth has to be treated with root canal treatment.
The other possible cause can be neuralgic pain, but this produces severe shock kind of pain. This occurs secondary to any nerve injury by trauma or viral infection(herpes zoster). So consult a oral physician and get it evaluated.
These are the possible causes and diagnosis based on the description of your problem. If you can upload the images of your gums, teeth and the radiographs i can tell you the exact diagnosis and treatment plan. I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
If any queries are there reply me back.
Trigeminal neuralgia, neurophysician, carbamazepine
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feed back.
If you have already undergone gum surgery and ruled out gum and tooth infection, then you need to consult a neurophysician to rule out the trigeminal neuralgia. If it is diagnosed as trigeminal neuralgia then it can be treated with carbamazepine.
I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
