What Causes Hydrocele?
Question: Dear Doctor, Previously I had asked the question in a wrong manner. I am a hydrocele patient, second ball is more than ten times bigger. I wish to know whether a testicle can be removed through laser light therapy. If so recommend a XXXXXXX based hospital. Also let me know if any risk is there. I am 67.
Brief Answer:
Services are available at XXXXXXX
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I understand your query and concern.
Laser light therapy is not used in the management of hydrocele.
Such therapy can be offered to remove affected testis by prostrate cancer and not hydrocele.
These services are offered at XXXXXXX New XXXXXXX and Indraprastha Apollo ,New XXXXXXX
The risks are few and are related to inadvertent burns to normal structures around.
Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.

Due to fear I have not operated my hydrocele. If in future I go for surgery and ask the surgeon to remove the testicle instead of removing extra mass (as generally done), can he will do so? Has any patient gone through such an operation? Will it be more risky ? I think I will feel more comfort by doing so. Such an operation is wise or foolishness?
Brief Answer:
This operation is not wise.
Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.
Testis is never removed in hydrocele cases, except in cases where it is severely damaged or infected or affected with a tumor.
This is certainly a more risky procedure.
PRobably your surgeon will not perform such a procedure if the organ is intact.
Many patients do not go through such procedures.
This operation is never wise.
Thank you.
