Brief Answer:
Need to determine the cause

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Excessive saliva is an effect of different causes. GERD, Oral ulcers, Tonsillitis, Liver disease and many others could be the causes. GERD, Oral ulcers and infections are common in your age group. It makes sense to understand the cause before aiming at the solution. So you should meet a Dentist first if they cannot find a cause then a GP/ENT surgeon can definitely understand the root of the problem to fix it.

Tooth brushing and regular mouth washes can cause drying effect and help in stopping the salivation temporarily before you find the main cause.

I take 4 x 25mg phenergen each night for severe itching for the past 2 years. Could this be a side effect of long term use of that?

I also take accutane 1 x 25mg for the past 6 months.

Is there something which can be prescribed to me by a doctor which can assist with this excess saliva I'm currently experiencing in my mouth. it is starting to depress me.
