Brief Answer:
Oral and topical antifungal

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have noted your concern.

I think the infection still persists which not only leads to hyperpigmentation but also renewed itching and scratching.
I would suggest you to take an Oral antifungal e.g Terbinafine 250 mg tablet (Zimig tablet), once daily for 2-4 weeks.
Topically I suggest you to apply terbinafine 1% cream (Zimig cream), 2x daily for 2 weeks.
In addition you may take an oral antihistamine e.g cetrizine mg tablet for symptomatic relief from itching.
Subsequently you may use an antifungal dustiing powder e.g Abzorb dusting powder regularly in groin folds to prevent a recurrence.
Once the fungal infection gets cured effectively you may notice iimprovement in pigmentation.

Brief Answer:
Use a kojic acid based cream for pigmentation

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Fungal infection can leave behind pigmentation.
For pigmentation you may use a 2% kojic acid based cream. Apply it twice daily for a few days. Kojic acid is a skin lightening agent. It is not irritating and therefore suitable for groin application.
