What Causes Hyperpigmentation Of Skin Around Neck Area?

Question: I m 28 & 85 kgs my problem is my skin around my neck is black also my armpits, all skinfold areas are black also thights. i have read it to be due to overweight. i m trying hard to lose weight & have lost 3 kgs recently but no change in my skin. i also have thyroid. i m financially week so i am looking for cure through ointments rather than any cosmetic procedures. plz plz help.

I appreciate your concern for the hyperpigmented skin in various areas. Please upload a photo of the lesions so that I am better able to help.

The black spots or hyperpigmentation can be effectively treated by the following creams
1. Kojic acid
2. Hydroquinone + Vitamin E
3. Alpha Arbutin + Vitamin E

You will need to get a written prescription for these medicines.

It can be due to disorders like acanthosis, etc. Causes of hyperpigmentation like diabetes, hypothyroidism or other hormonal disorders should be detected if any and treated accordingly.
Continue the regular physical exercise and maintain an ideal body weight.
Eat plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of healthy water.

Kindly specify the name of those ointments which i can buy here in XXXXXXX .

i think my condition is known as ACANTHOSIS NIGRICANS. Please google once & suggest some effective ointments with specific names which are available over the counter at Chemists.
