What Causes Hypersalivation?
hypersalivation, local factors, antisialogauges.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
As far the hypersalivation in your mouth is concerned, the possible causes can be due fungal infection, gum or teeth infection or any ulcerations in the oral mucosa, altered swallowing threshold.
So you need to consult a oral physician to rule out these conditions and rule out the actual cause.
Since you are giving history of fungal infection, that can be the reason for excessive salivation, once the lesion or infection clears completely, the salivation becomes normal.
The hypersalivation can be managed by the following ways,
Conservative methods-It is important to assess for underlying problems that may be aggravating the saliva control problem, for example, the presence of nasal obstruction, dental disease or the use of medication that may be contributing to the problem.
Drug therapy (antisialogauges)-Anticholinergics particularly Benzhexol, Benxtropine and Glycopyrrolate are successful in drying the secretions in some people, but has some side effects. so it is better to try conservative methods.
Surgical-The range of surgical options include denervation of the salivary glands, removal of salivary glands, ligation of salivary ducts and relocation of ducts.either ways please consult a endocrinologist ad dentist for appliance.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
