What Causes Hypersomnia?
Question: Why do I sleep for 10 to 13 hours ?
Brief Answer:
For how long has this been going on?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this excessive sleeping. To be able to propose possible causes of excessive sleep, I will like to know for how long this has been going on. The is because sleeping for long can happen once in a while for a short duration but should not become the norm. If this has been happening time and again, please kindly state the duration and report any other symptoms that you may have. Also, do you sleep deep and get up refreshed daily?
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.

Going on for 7 months.
Brief Answer:
I will recommend you get a sleep study!
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
This has been going on for quite sometime and we would need at least some sleep studies to understand what is going on. I will suggest that you see a sleep doctor and get sleep studies done to characterize the nature of your sleep and figure out what the possible causes of such patterns are.
Keep me posted about this.
