What Causes Hyponatremia?
can be replaced by increasing salt intake added to food
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
Sodium is found in salt. Persons with high blood pressure are asked to reduce their salt intake , therefore reducing their sodium intake and blood pressure hopefully.
If your sodium level is low, you can increase your salt intake slightly to help increase it.
Don't increase by more than a teaspoon however unless directed to by your doctor.
1 tsp contains 2,325 mg of sodium.
In addition to the above: (1) use sport drinks , coconut water
(2)use a wide range of fruits and vegetables because these usually sodium as well
(3)restrict your water intake slightly because water would dilute the salt present
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
