What Causes Imbalance Issues With Normal Brain Scans?
Question: Hi after being on a tub ride at the lake I started to feel wobbly like I was still on the boat. After seeing a physio he said there were crystals stuck in the wrong place. I feel wobbly, rocking and woozy all the time. I don't get the typical spinning vertigo. What can I do. My brain is also very sensitive. Help or any other ideas. I'm going to a chiropractor, acupuncture, herbalist. Done ct scan and going to do MRI.

I have read your query. You have some imbalance issues and I am glad brain scans are normal.
I usually start my patients on cinnarizine 25mg three times a day for a few weeks in such cases. i am not sure if its over the counter at your location. You can check with your pharmacist.
You can also try wearing cervical collar with chin support through out the day and remove it at night. Do static cervical spine exercises in morning and evening. These exercises are uploaded on you tube. Avoid travelling as much as you can.
You may also send me report of CT and MRI scan to me so that I may further advise you the treatment.

The vestibular apparatus provides continual feedback to the brain about our body position. When something disturbs the vestibular apparatus, such movement of the head when traveling by boat or car, nerve signals are sent from the vestibular apparatus to various centres in brain. This can cause sensations such as nausea, dizziness or spinning sensations (vertigo).

The crystals in my in ear are stuck in the wrong place making me feel like I'm rocking all the time. All have come off in the left ear but still are floating now and than. The crystals in my right inner ear are atill stuck. But some have come off.
I don't get the spinning vertigo but have a floaty feeling all the time and do get a bit dizzy when Ioce around to fast. Physio has helped a lot but has been a long long process. This happen July of 2013 and started to see my physio oct 2013 and still on. Things are moving very very slowy. My brain is very sensitive to new places and busy places. From your information it has been concluded that talking about debris in ear which causes vertigo. My friend for derbies you have to get ear lavage done to remove the derbies or crystal what ever you say it.
But if you are feeling good with physio then also its okay but will take one more month to become every thing normal.
For sensitivity of brain I want to know whether you are taking about getting vertigo feeling or claustrophobic feeling in new and busy places.
Because these two things get treated by different way. Vertigo gets treated by previously advised medications and claustrophobic feeling treated by psychotherapy and medications like alprazolam and fluoxetine etc.
