Question: Hi,
We have a new born baby boy from C-sec,Mother is unable to breastfeed the baby and baby's weight is reduced now. When we try to breastfeed the baby,he just rejects nipples and turn his head somewhere else.Initially the baby was fed with lactogen1 and he only sip that if given,We are trying to not feed him anything but he didn't suck the breasts and only relies on lactogen & he cries a lot in such situation, please suggest how to recover from
this situation and also if we can continue to give lactogen if he is not feeding.

Brief Answer:
Various suggestions given

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir, thanks for trusting health care magic.
This is a common problem and eventually settled down if she keeps on struggling to fed him and trying various comfortable positions of feeding.
Also there are breast pumps available in market which can help her extract breast milk and feed the baby via bottle.
I know it sounds tedious but worth the effort as breast milk is very important.
In initial 15 days all babies loose weight so nothing to worry in that respect.
