What Causes Increased Headache After Taking Etizola?
Question: Dear Dr. XXXXXXX - As prescribed by you, I have taken following medicines for treatment of my headache :-
1. Tryptomer 25 mg (5 weeks completed now)
2. Betacap TR 40 (5 weeks completed now)
As advised, I had reduced Betacap TR 40 to 20 mg for one week and replaced it with Etizola 0.25 mg. As soon as I started Etizola 0.25 mg, the frequency of headache increased and I also developed severe acidity/uneasiness. I continued Etizola 02.5 mg for 4-5 days, but since the symptoms worsened, I stopped it and started back Betacap TR 40. For the last one week, I am on Tryptomer 40 mg at night and Betacap TR 40 in the morning. With this combination, my headache is under control. I seek your advise on the following :-
1. How long I should take tryptomer 40 mg and Betacap TR 40 mg? (I am keeping a close watch on my blood sugar level since I am taking Betacap TR 40. The current blood sugar level is between 120-140 and blood pressure level 80-120/130.
2. Have I done the right thing by stopping Etizola 0.25 mg and replaced it with Betacap TR 40?
Regards...XXXX

Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
You should continue Tryptomer 25 mg and Betacap TR 40 mg for 3 months and then follow up again.
If you have any stress or sleep disturbances then you can add clonazepam instead of etizolam 0.25 mg once or twice daily.
Pain killers may be taken as required.
