Brief Answer:
Difference in pharmacodynamics is the reason for the symptoms.
Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for asking from HCM for your health related doubts
I can understand your concern. The pharmacology of drug varies between routes of administration. In general via suppository the absorption is relatively rapid and drug is released in sustained manner in body. While in oral absorption absorption is relatively slower and relatively unpredictable. This difference could be the possible reason for sudden palpitations and shaking you have.
Low dose Valium is a good solution for this anxiety. Wait for few days and your symptoms will reduce by own.
Thanks. Take care

So taking the new med orally might be dispensing more of the drug quicker because of unpredictability in absorption through oral intake then taking the suppository anally? Should I change back to suppositories? Or lower starting dose of oxycodone? Is this a common problem when changing routes of administration?
Can it kill me wen my heart rAte is that fast?

Hi, thanks for asking again
Yes taking the same drug orally resulted in slower and relatively unpredictable absorption and this is the reason for the symptoms. Absorption of lower dose probably resulted in panic like symptoms.
Yes changing back to Suppositories will reduce the symptoms.
When routes of administration are changed such type of symptoms could be seen. Withdrawal of drug or over dose both can be the possible reasons.
This will not kill you. No need to worry. Just ask your doctor for re-evaluation.

I'm just at hospital as my blood pressure was 168 can this also b an effect of taking it orally the dose give to me orally was same as suppository dose so perhaps my body broke the drug down too quickly b taking it orally. Could this happen as I have never had issues with suppositories before or could it b something else though I've never had high blood pressure before either? If I go back to taking suppositories will it happen again?
Brief Answer:
You can go to suppositories again.
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
Usually sudden surge in BP is not seen. But if we consider this as withdrawal then rise in BP might occur because of anxiety. Yes in oral absorption bioavailability of drug comes down and can lead to withdrawal.
You can go to suppositories again and this will not happen. Otherwise ask your doctor to adjust dose for oral route.
Thanks. Take care
