What Causes Increased Sensitivity Around Ear-jaw Joint And Jaws?

Question: Hi, I am a 29 year old male. I am a smoker since last 5-6 years and appx smoke 4 sticks a day.. Off late I am feeling increased sensitivity around ear-jaw joint and jaws ( I think probably salivary glands) along with sustaining pain (mild) and apparent swelling. Apart from that I have a white streak developing across my internal cheek mucosa. And recently I am feeling mild pain around foodpipe region.. Please advice.
Brief Answer:
Symptoms are related to smoking
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.
I understand your concern.
All the symptoms mentioned in your case are directly related to the effects of smoking.Cigarette smoke contains many chemicals that can injure oral and esophageal mucosa.
You need to quit smoking at once.
It is important to get an upper GI endoscopy/UGIE to rule out any food pipe smoke related injury.
As of now you do not need an active therapy.Quitting smoking alone helps.
Further management is based on test results.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you
