Consult Urologist to undergo evaluation for chronic genital pain
Detailed Answer:
Hello again,
I have gone through your query and our previous discussion.
It is good that you were able to consult a dermatologist and rule out skin conditions as the cause for symptoms. Since skin conditions have been ruled out, other causes for pain and sensitiveness in the genital area need to be considered.
Urinary tract infection, Prostatitis (usually present with pain and yellow urine), Interstitial Cystitis, Chronic epididymo-orchitis, pelvic muscle dysfunction, spine/hip problems can all present with chronic urogenital pain.
Physical examination, rectal examination (to assess the prostate), Urine analysis and culture, Doppler scan of testis are recommended as the initial evaluation. Further evaluation will be tailored according to initial screening.
If all the possible causes have been ruled out, then chronic idiopathic genital pain syndrome should be considered, which is treated with antidepressant and anticonvulsant medications like gabapentin.
Please be advised to follow up with a Urologist to undergo necessary evaluation.
Hope I was able to help you
