default
Posted on Wed, 31 May 2017
Question: I am having PCOD and was diagnosed with insulin resistance. My insulin PP serum was 66 in XXXXXXX 2017. Then I started Metital (500 mg) and Diane for 3 months. After that my insulin level has increased to 101. Also my blood sugar level has increased - 116 (fasting) and -176 (PP). Is there any particular reason why my Insulin increased even when I was on medication?

Brief Answer:
Manage glucose levels and not insulin levels

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, thanks for trusting health care magic
There is nothing to worry as serum insulin levels are not needed to manage it and glucose levels are best guides so keep a check on glucose levels and manage them by good adequate diet and exercise
This gastric intolerance is because of metformin and will be fine in a couple of months
Take care
