Question: Intense pain in left kidney area. Had a 7mm stone removed on 1/14/16 after a stent was installed on 1/8/16. Stent was removed on 1/20/16. Pain has steadily been getting worse. started about 11am as mild discomfort now about an 8 level. Took Oxycod/acetaminophen 5-325mg. One at 5:30pm another at 8pm. At first pain subsided but has now been getting worse.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted the chronologically given history and the medication history.

The persistence of pain indicate that thee is an obstruction to the outflow of the urine from the kidney to the urinary bladder.
May be an antispasmodic like Dicyclomin or Buscopan may help. Take one tablet and see the results, if the pain is not resolved, you need further investigations and treatment.

I would advise you to visit ER to have ultrasonography and further tests, re-admission and to carry on any procedure like re-stenting or so if needed.
